Mike Perkins has served as an athletic trainer at all levels, from youth to the professional level. Perkins was the head athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach for the 2006 World Champion Detroit Shock. He has over 6 years of experience at the professional level, as the former head athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach for the Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League (AFL), as well as working with the US Men’s Rugby team, and the Flint Generals hockey team. He has worked with the Michigan Olympic Development program for soccer, Pinnacle racing ski club, as well as running Speed, Agility, and Quickness camps over the past 8 years for local athletes. He currently works for Team Rehabilitation, specializing in post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation. Perkins holds his degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Detroit Mercy and is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
